Description

In this letter of August 5, 1936, Laura Kephart writes her son, Leonard Kephart (1892-1988) from Masonville, New York. She says the copyright issue for Horace Kephart’s Cherokee article, that she would like to reprint, is still unresolved. She shares with Leonard the summer’s travels and says that Roy has heard from George regarding an Assistant Forester position. Laura mentions a few articles for reading, "Birth Control of Wealth" in "A. A. A.", an editorial on Ickes, and "What the Depositor Should Know." She mentions that Democrats who can’t vote for F. D. R. are being called Cleveland Democrats in the Herald Tribune.
