In this letter of May 20, 1943, Leonard Kephart (1892-1988) writes his mother, Laura Kephart to send her pictures of the family who are all together for the first time in over a year. His son Buddy will be inducted into the Naval Air Corps, and his daughter Barbara has been elected President of KD Sorority. He mentions that his wife Frances is visiting his sister Jane in Atlanta. He mentions that he is writing this letter at work getting paid time and a third overtime and talks about his work which he says doesn’t leave him much time for a victory garden.
