In this letter of April 18, 1948, Royal Bird writes to his in-laws Leonard Kephart (1892-1988) and Frances (1887-1971) to let them know that he has shipped them a box of butternuts from Boonville and that they can share them with George. He lets them know that they had a nice visit with their daughter Barbara and that their mother is feeling better. He mentions that international affairs are a mess, as well as their own party politics.
