In this letter of December 6, 1948, Laura Kephart writes to her son, Leonard Kephart (1892-1988) to ask him if he could pick up his father’s things in Bryson City. She says there should be 20 notebooks, a bundle of letters, some books and a few odds and ends. She expresses concern over what has become of these things as well as the $60 plus that I.K. Stearns collected for the grave marker.
