"Drawn from various grants + deeds, Dec, 10 1888." A hand-drawn manuscript map on transparent paper, pen-and-ink in black, blue and red. Copy slightly stained and torn in places. Property lines are marked by the presence of trees or stakes. Includes coordinates for plats. "To be reserved, XXX [symbol] Three tracts of the Wm. Slone land, having respectfully 52, 52 & 58 acres, making in all 162 acres. [Circle with cross symbol] David Lestir {Lester?] tract contains ... acres. O [symbol] A fifty acre tract [illegible] land. [Square symbol] Two hundred acres, at Rockey Point, Burt Alley. [Triangle symbol] Fifty acres - Ouly. Williams. D [symbol] Fifty acres, State Grant." Cadastral map shows the W.H. Thomas lands in Swain and Graham Counties, the Cheoih Turnpike to Rockey Point, the Tennessee Turnpike, and Rymers Ferry on the Little Tennessee River.
