Description
The Stillwell Building was opened in 1953 during a transitional year, when Western Carolina Teachers College became Western Carolina College. The building was named for Edgar H. Stillwell, an 1899 graduate of Cullowhee High School who went on to teach history at the Cullowhee Normal and Industrial School (1905-1925).
