Description
The Victory Bell originally hung in Old Madison Hall and marked class periods. In 1938, it was mounted on a stone base between Moore and Joyner, then moved nearer the Student Union in 1967, moved to the lawn in front of the University Center in the late 1960’s, and now hangs in the Alumni Tower. The bell is inscribed “State Normal Department, Cullowhee High School, N.C. Ring out the false, ring the true.”
