The Liston B. Ramsey Regional Activity Center was completed in 1986. It has since served as the home to WCU's basketball programs and includes an 8,000 seat coliseum style seating area. It is a multi-purpose structure designed to also host speakers, concerts and other public events. It is named after Liston B. Ramsey, the Madison County politician who served as Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives for four terms from 1981-1989.
