Description
Sara Sutton Madison and her family lived in Davies Dormotory from 1935 until 1941. Built in 1910 and originally a women's dormitory, female students moved to Moore dormiotry in 1921 and Davies was converted into apartments for faculty and staff. Sara shares acendotes about her time in Davies as a child, including interacting with the college's faculty and staff and the children she played with. Sarah was born on October 8, 1931, in South Carolina and lived on or near the Western Carolina Teachers College campus for many years during her childhood.
