This flier lists campus activities and sponsors for Celebrating Black Awareness. The week-long celebration was put together by the Organization of Ebony Students and took place April 1996. Named in 1973, the Organization of Ebony Students was originally the Black Students United for Liberation which was founded in 1968 to promote unity among African American students. The organization is now called the Black Student Union and continues to promote the interests of WCU's African American student body through cultural and educational activities and is open to all cultures.
