Talinda Forney is interviewed by Emma Miller on May 27, 2016, as part of Mountain People, Mountain Lives: A Student Led Oral History Project. She discusses growing up in Haywood County, N.C. and her experiences with integration and desegregation during the Civil Rights Movement in Western North Carolina. The Pigeon Community Center and the organization Lift Every Voice are discussed as well as the goals of the Pigeon Center.
