Description
Steve White is interviewed by a Smoky Mountain High School student as a part of Mountain People, Mountain Lives: A Student Led Oral History Project. White moved to western North Carolina in 1961 and has been a fixture in the area ever since. Catching for the Western Carolina University’s baseball team brought him here and after a brief stint of active duty during Vietnam he became WCU's athletic information director. White talks about the changes that have taken place in the industry and shares sports stories he has witnessed over the years.
