Alva L. (Lucille) Frady DelSesto is interviewed by Susan Moody. Alva DelSesto was an Army nurse during World War II. She discusses growing up and how the war affected her entire life. She talks about her interest in becoming a nurse, her time in the service, and how she met her husband. She discusses how different the world is today compared to when she was a child and how even her small hometown and community has changed drastically since she was a young woman and left home to go to war. Includes additional photographs of Alva DelSesto in uniform.
