Description
James E. (Jim) Thompson (1880-1976) and brother Robin Thompson (1895-1977) were both photographers. In the 1920s they were partners in Thompson Brothers Commercial Photography, a firm started by their father in 1902. In 1927, the brothers went their separate ways, each taking on various photographic interests. Jim Thompson, a hiker and outdoor enthusiast, played a major role in promoting the creation of a national park.
