Early postcards illustrated life and scenery in western North Carolina. This card was made by the Southern Post Card Company, located in Asheville, North Carolina. The company was founded in the first decades of the 20th century by Lamar Campbell Le Compte, who ran the company until his death in 1977. At the time of its closing, the company inventory numbered into the millions.
