Description

This card was made by the Asheville Post Card Company, located in Asheville. The company was founded in the first decades of the 20th century by Lamar Campbell Le Compte, who ran the company until his death in 1977. At the time of its closing, the company inventory numbered into the millions. The Asheville Post Card and Pennant Company is likely a later incarnation of the original company, when manager Ruth Thurmond sold a variety of souvenir items, including pennants.
