Description
Early postcards illustrating life and scenery in western North Carolina were published by several companies in and around the region. This postcard depicts Pack Square in Asheville, North Carolina. The note on the front, that Asheville is “so cool,” does not have the contemporary meaning of today; instead, the writer is commenting on the climate of the mountains to a friend in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
