Description

This undated photograph shows Tuckaseegee School, also called Tuckaseigee School (in use 1932-1958). Johnathan E. Brown served as the school’s first principal from 1932 to 1933 and 1937 to 1938. The school building was renovated from a wooden school house and included electric lights, steam heating, a small office, a library, and more classrooms. Tuckaseegee School closed in 1958 and information on its consolidation is unknown.
