Description

Road leading to Brevard Institute. In 1909, the property was purchased by the Women's Home Missionary Society and renamed the Brevard Institute. Its early curriculum included music, business, and domestic science. The institute closed during the Great Depression, yet reopened on the same site as Brevard College in 1934.
