This undated family portrait shows Ransom Lee Hyatt (1862-1947) and his second wife Cordelia Wilson Hyatt (1877-1944) with their children in front of their two-story house on Shoal Creek Road in what was Qualla and is now Whittier. Ransom Lee Hyatt was born in Qualla and he and Cordelia married in 1909. Ransom had 6 children with his first wife, Dora Cooper, and Cordelia had one child from a previous marriage. Together they had four surviving children. The only child identified in this photograph is Nathan Eugene Hyatt (1897-1937) standing 2nd from the left.
