Description

Falls coming off of the dam at Patten's Mill, located on the Davidson River. Donor note: "This dam was destroyed by flood. The cause was cutting holes in it so that one could walk over it dry shod. This was done on orders of a Major who commanded a labor battalion of negroes (1918). The first flood then took it on out. Verne Rhoades (1909)"
