Description

View of three buildings used by the Biltmore Forest School in Pink Beds. In the foreground on the left is the feed building, with the commissary (building with a porch) just peeking out behind it. On the right is the Hiram King house, which housed various forest rangers. During the summer of 1905, students ate at the house. They were fed "hot baking powder biscuits every meal plus 'sow-belly' fried or at least warmed up" by Mrs. Gillespie, wife of one of the rangers.
