Amy talks about “Blue Ridge Mountains Call for Me,” the theme song for Stories of Mountain Folk. Doreyl’s guests are Mary Jo Cobb and her 96-year-old mother, Gladys Hooper. Hooper tells of her early days in Jackson County as she started her family. Amy speaks with her brother David, who talks about Grandpa Tom Ammons on Cullowhee Mountain. The show ends with the full version of the theme song, “Blue Ridge Mountains Call for Me,” written by Phillip Scopelite, Amy’s husband, and arranged by Jack Mollette.
