Description
Amy introduces the Collins family children who sing "Amazing Grace." Doreyl and her guest, Helen Ammons Bryson from Tuckasegee, discuss community building through cakewalks. Amy’s guest is Dr. Jane Eastman, associate professor in the Department of Anthropology and Sociology and director of Cherokee Studies at Western Carolina University; Eastman shares her findings from archaeological excavations on the WCU campus. The group Hominy Valley Boys from Waynesville ends the show singing "The Star Spangled Banner."
