Description
Amy talks about the time of the year and the memories that come flooding back in “As autumn falls.” The story is followed by “Spindolls” by Banjo Mania. Doreyl’s guest on Creative Corner is Nikki Henke of Sylva, who talks about being a pastel artist and how her work has influenced her life. Nikki also talks about her participation at ColorFest. The interview is followed by “Orange Blossom Special” by Vance Trull. On Stories of Mountain Folk, Amy welcomes her guest Norma Woodard McClure, who grew up in Whittier. She talks about her family, her childhood, and her life today living on Cope Creek. “Wonder of Wonders” by the Inspirations follows in the interview. Sean’s guest on Coming Around the Mountain is Timm Muth, director of the Jackson County Green Energy Park in Dillsboro. Tim talks about how he came to live in the mountains, and discusses the idea of community, social participation and what the Green Energy Park provides to the local community. The interview is followed by “Little Pal” by Don Reno and Bill Harrell. On Down Another Road, Judy talks again with Joseph Bly of Asheville. He tells a story about a memorable trip he and his late wife took to Mt. Pisgah. “Me & my shadow” by Jimmy Wakely follows the interview, and the show closes with “Will Durham” by Appalachian Fire.
