This postcard, published by T.H. Lindsey of Asheville, N.C., features the 'Bridge at Bushnell, Murphy R.R. 891.' A general heading of Lindsey's postcards appears on the left side of the image, and reads 'Views of Western North Carolina.' This card was listed in Lindsey's book, 'Lindsey's Guide Book to Western North Carolina' (Asheville, N.C.: Randolph - Kerr Printing Company, 1890) as part of the 'Along the Murphy R.R.' selection of views. Upon closer examination, a building may be discerned in the center of the picture where the railroad bridge curves in its course across the river.
