The August 10, 1926, issue of 'The Ruralite' (Sylva, N.C.) ran an article titled 'Sells Store at Addie.'� The article announced that William Houston Snyder (1881-1956), also known as Hute Snyder, had sold his stock of general merchandise in his store at Addie, North Carolina to his brother, George C. Snyder (1880-1956), who operated a store in the Beta, N.C., community.
