This view of the Cherokee County Courthouse in Murphy, N.C., was postmarked March 25, 1907, at Murphy and on March 25 at Hayesville, N.C. As indicated on the card, the Courthouse was built in 1892, then seriously damaged by fire in 1895, and subsequently rebuilt in 1896. In the end, the building was destroyed in another fire in 1926.
