Description

This cover for the Santo Tomas Internment Camp newspaper “The Internitis,” created July 1942 by internees in Manila, Philippines was brought back to America by Carr and Ruth Hooper. The Hoopers were interned from January 1942 to February 1945. The camp, also known as the Manila Internment Camp, was run by the Japanese military during World War II and housed over 3,000 internees from January 1942 until February 1945.
