Description

Castanea mollissima Blume x dentata Borch. North Carolina: Transylvania County. Charlie Moore's "Farm" northwest of Brevard on Kings Creek. About 8 km northwest of Tinsley Road (SR 1353). Elevation 738 m (2420 ft.). About 1 km up King's Creek above fork. 27 April 1987. Presumably hybrid of C. Moore.
