Castanea mollissima Blume. Entrance area [Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory]. Elevation 678 m (2225'). Planted trees about 12 m tall. [flowering specimen]; Meadow at entrance on Coweeta Creek. Elevation 686 m (2250'). Map Coord: 675.2/506.2; Entrance area. Elevation 678 m (2225'). Apparently naturalized seedlings in floodplain east of Creasman Branch. Some plants to 2 m height.
