Description

In this letter of March 21, 1864, Henry Marshall Misemer (1832-1865) writes his "Dear wife," Martha Misemer, from Nashville, Tennessee before the courier leaves with the letters from his company. He lets her know that he has not had a chance to have his picture taken for her, but will soon. He lets her know that he received the socks she sent and asks her to tell Father that he should stay home and not join the army since he has three sons and three sons-in-law already fighting.
