Description
Rufus “Rufe” Bryan Shook (1868-1938), the son of David Parker Shook and Parthany Joyce Shook, is standing in a field with a chicken nearby. After serving in the American Revolutionary War, Jacob Shook and his wife bought land and settled along the Pigeon River in what is now Clyde, N.C.
