Description

In this letter written Tuesday the 17th, 1953, (likely February) Laura Kephart writes her son Leonard Kephart with her frustration at having to move back and forth from her daughter Lucy’s to a boarding at Mrs. Dodd’s “nursing home.” She wishes her sister’s family, the Rileys, were not Christian Scientists so she could live with them where she owns a “right to live.” She doesn’t want her letter to sound doleful and she lets him know she has a pile of letters and valentines. She ends the letter by saying that she is proud of each member of her large family.
