Description
Two workers, using hand tools, are seen splitting and planing wood to be used in the reconstruction of the Biltmore Forest School in Pink Beds. Reconstruction of the school's buildings began in 1967 and the site was designated as "The Cradle of American Forestry" by Congress in 1968. In 1974, the site was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
