Two workers using hand tools are preparing wood to be used in the reconstruction of the Biltmore Forest School in Pink Beds. The unfinished frame of one of the reconstructions is seen behind the workers, and an informational panel can be seen in the far right of the image. Reconstruction of the school's buildings began in 1967 and the site was designated as "The Cradle of American Forestry" by Congress in 1968. In 1974, the site was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
