Description
Three workers standing on scaffolding are placing wooden planks onto the roof of the Biltmore Forest School's schoolhouse in Pink Beds. Reconstruction of the school's buildings began in 1967 and the site was designated as "The Cradle of American Forestry" by Congress in 1968. In 1974, the site was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
