Description
The site of Strawberry Hill, former Asheville residence of the Houghteling family. Gifford Pinchot had a relationship with Laura Houghteling while working as the forester for the Biltmore Estate, which lasted until Laura's death from tuberculosis. This image shows a truck carrying logs to be deposited on the side of the road. The house site is on a hill to the right.
