Description
The site of Strawberry Hill, former Asheville residence of the Houghteling family. Gifford Pinchot had a relationship with Laura Houghteling while working as the forester for the Biltmore Estate, which lasted until Laura's death from tuberculosis. This image shows the entrance gates as seen from the street. A car is visible to the right of the gate.
