Description
This photograph of Tom Barnett with his fiddle was taken by Doris Ulmann in 1933 or 1934. Barnett lived in Peachtree, N.C. and contributed many of the songs that appear in Olive Dame Campbell's ballad collection. Among others he contributed the song "The Seven Joys of Mary," which was performed during the John C. Campbell Folk School's annual Christmas play.
