Description

This booklet outlines a worship service for craftsmen which was part of the tenth anniversary celebration of the founding of Penland School of Handicrafts (now Penland School of Crafts). This worship service was compiled in 1939 by the Rev. Peter Lambert, priest of the Good Shepard Missions of the Episcopal Church at Penland, North Carolina, which was associated with the Appalachian School. This booklet dates from a later period, as the service was used periodically during Lucy Morgan's tenure as director of the craft school. The cover illustration was done by Sally Kesler who was associated with the school in the 1940s and 1950s.
