Description
This photograph depicts a bedspread with a knotted fringe, believed to have been sold through Allanstand Cottage Industries during the 1910s. The back of the photograph is labeled "Knotted Spread 'Flower Basket' design" and the number 2504 is assumed to be a product code. Hand-knotted fringe work was a domestic art that continued through the Craft Revival period. The maker of this bedspread is unknown.
