Description

This hand carved figure of a bear was done by Cherokee Amanda Crowe. Crowe was born on July 16, 1928 and started carving at the age of four. Crowe is perhaps most famous for her bear carvings, which have become her signature pieces. Crowe taught and influenced generations of Cherokee carvers who have adopted her style.
