This photograph depicts a fringed bedspread believed to have been sold through Allanstand Cottage Industries during the 1910s. The pattern, identified as Bow Knot and Thistle, appears to be executed with needlework knots, although it may have been tufted. The maker of this bedspread is unknown. The back of the photograph is stamped: "Allanstand Cottage Industries, Inc. 6 Government St. Asheville, N.C."
