Description

This brochure produced around 1945 describes the various products made by Walter B. Stephen at the Pisgah Forest Pottery just south of Asheville, North Carolina. Stephen developed various product lines including work with "porcelain paste" called cameo ware and crystalline glazes. Walter Benjamin Stephen (1875-1961) and his mother founded the Nonconnah Pottery in Shelby County, Tennessee. Later he moved to Arden, N.C. and founded the Pisgah Forest Pottery around 1926. The pottery still occupies its site south of Asheville, N.C.
