Counterpane sample: Honeycomb pattern

Dublin Core

Title

Counterpane sample: Honeycomb pattern

Description

Frances Goodrich collected samples and drafts of hand weaving being done in the Appalachian region. This cotton counterpane was woven by Lula Reagan of Watauga County, North Carolina. It was on display at Allanstand Cottage Industries in the 1930s with a tag that read "Honeycomb counterpane weaving - with blue" and the price $12.00 - probably the cost of a bed-size counterpane.
