John C. Campbell Folk School

This photograph, taken around 1927, shows Olive Dame Campbell in a discussion with a group of John C. Campbell Folk School students in the Community Room of the Keith House. Campbell founded the school in 1925 in Brasstown, N.C. The Community Room, which was completed in 1927, was the first structure built on the school grounds and served the purposes of holding classes, community activities, and meetings.
