Description

Mary Frances Davidson was an expert using vegetable dyes to color fiber. She taught at Penland Craft School and was connected with the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild Fairs for many, many years. This photograph was taken by Bernice Stevens at the Craftsman's Fair of the Southern Highlands in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in July 1949.
