Description

John Hall was one of the original Brasstown Carvers. He worked with his brother, Ben Hall, and Murriel Martin at the John C. Campbell Folk School. He was best known for the "mad mule" series, which he began carving after being kicked by a mule. The undated photography was taken by John G. Hemmer.
