Description

The series of mules in this photograph were carved by John Hall. He became known for his "mad mule" carvings after being kicked by a mule. Hall was an early Brasstown Carver and worked with his brother, Ben, and his nephew, Jack. This was probably an exhibit from one of the early Southerrn Highland Handicraft Guild fairs in Gatlinburg, Tennessee
